About Lakedown

Lakedown Trout Fishery is situated in a secluded Wealden valley with scenic views & no visible sign of habitation

The Fishery was originally designed & created some 29 years ago by actor & pop legend Roger Daltrey

The four spring-fed lakes totalling approximately 26 acres have an abundance of aquatic fly life

"A visual assault on the senses. There can be no prettier fishery in this land. Spikes of bright yellow flag decorate the banks which are thick with beds of rose bay willow herb, bee-haunted fox gloves & spotted orchid. A place where wild browns & rainbows live side by side" - Trout Fisherman, August 2005

Opening Times

The fishery is open all year round & although pre-booking is not essential we do recommend it. First cast is at 8.00am & closing times are posted on the fishery notice board

Winter Season

During the holiday season the fishery will be closed on Christmas Day & New Year's Day

Starting Boxing Day we will be introducing a "Winter Tariff" for those brave enough to venture out in the cold. This will be a £25 ticket with no limit of fish attached

Please note that over the winter season we will only be accepting pre-bookings, so please ring the lodge to check availability
